Carbon Fiber Idler Rollers - Overview

Epoch composite Idlers are made using 1/8" wall (3/16" in larger sizes), carbon fiber/epoxy matrix composite. The tube has nearly double the stiffness-to-weight ratio of aluminum and provides unparalleled low rotating inertia.

Epoch carbon fiber composite idlers offer superior performance. These idlers are ideal for running wide, light weight webs at higher critical speeds, and are the lightest standard idlers Epoch manufactures.

These idlers are dynamically balanced to ISO grade G6.3. Each roll is machined to precision tolerances and has a 63 RMS surface finish across the face.
